It is alleged that Robert Dunbar Alias Robert Danvers enlisted June 30 1863 and served as a private in Company B, U.S.C.T. Regiment and was discharged June 1 1866. It is also alleged that while on duty at Polly Island SC on or about
September or October 1863 he was disabled by chronic diarrhea, Piles, Rheumatism and affection of eyes and was treated in hospitals. In case of the above-named soldier the War Department is requested to furnish an official statement of the enrollment, discharge, and record of service so far as the same be applicable to the forgoing allegation, together with full medical history. Please give the rank he held at the time he is clamed to have incurred the disability alleged, and records show that he was not in line of duty during that period, let the fact be stated.

Robert Danvers, Private, Company B, 35th U.S.C.T Infantry Regiment was enrolled June 16 1863 and muster out (M.O) June 1 1866. Also known as Robert Dunbar and during that period the rolls show him present for duty except as follows:
July 30 1863 (Sick New Bern NC).
Aug 31 1863 (Sick in New Bern NC).
Dec 31 1863 (Sick Portsmouth VA)
The medical records show him treated as follow as:
Robert Dunbar
Private, Company B, 35th U.S.C.T. Regiment
November 1, 1865 to December 3, 1865 Scrofula (A Form of tuberculosis
characterized chiefly by swelling). Returned to duty.
The name Robert Danvers has not been found on the rolls of Company B, 35th U.S.C.T. Regiment.
